A brow lift is usually done under normal anesthesia although local anesthesia with sedation has been approached by a few doctors. It can be carried out using a scope that small incisions are put at the hair line or using an open procedure, that the entire brow locks line is incised. Within the open procedure, the incision is made along the hair line and also the skin is dissected (taken out away) in the underling tissue. Fatty areas are removed in order to smooth out the forehead as well as the muscles of this forehead are stiffened if necessary.
