Animal Poison Control Information:

If you think or suspect your animal has eaten/ingested or been exposed to something they should not
have and/or are showing signs of illness, such as vomiting, pale gums, seizure, unconsciousness or
otherwise any abnormal behavior, do not hesitate... Take your animal to your local vet, if it is after
normal business hours, most Vets have on their answering machines information leading you to an
after hour or weekend on-call vet service that will be able to help you and your animal.

Remember! Vermont State Law requires all animal owners are to provide necessary medical attention to their animals.
Failure to do so, could constitute a crime of abuse or neglect under Vermont Animal Cruelty Laws.

For information about poisons, please see the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center website:
http://www.napcc.aspca.org/

This site has lists of poisons under the how to prevent poisoning and poisoned animal management sections.
The ASPCA also has a poison hotline number, 888-426-4435.   You can also call here for help if you think your animal has been poisoned.   However, there is a charge for this call.

Some other websites have information on poisons and lists of poisons, along with everyday hazards and holiday hazards and poisons.
